Kalki 2898-AD release date announced

Ending the anticipation, the makers of Kalki 2898-AD have announced the release date of the magnum opus.

Starring Deepika Padukone and Prabhas in the lead roles and helmed by Nag Ashwin, the pan-India movie is set to hit the screens on 27 June 2024.

The announcement of the release date of Kalki 2898-AD came as a piece of pleasant news for Prabhas’ fans. They have eagerly been awaiting the update for a long time, particularly after the postponement of the release date in January this year.

The flick was initially supposed to be released for Sankranthi. However, it was rescheduled.

Kalki 2898-AD also boasts a stellar cast, including Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, and Anna Ben.

On Sunday, 21 April, the makers unveiled the intro video of Amitabh Bachchan’s character — Ashwatthama. Even though the teaser was less than a minute long, it generated a massive amount of hype.

Prabhas-starrer Kalki 2898-AD promises to blend mythological elements with the future. With its unique narrative and intriguing characters, the pan-India film is shaping up to be a cinematic spectacle, which fans have been waiting for.

Nag Ashwin has embarked on an ambitious journey with Kalki 2898-AD as he plans to integrate a groundbreaking concept with the epic tale of the Mahabharata.

Aiming to showcase the grandeur of ancient epics to the present generation, many of whom may not be familiar with the history.

Prabhas’ character Bhairava plays a crucial role in elevating Kalki’s journey. The story tracks the events from thousands of years ago with the challenges humanity faces today.

Director Nag Ashwin has also piqued the audience’s curiosity with teasers hinting at a world that connects various elements from the “Dwapara Yuga” to the present “Kali Yuga“.
