Veteran Tollywood actor Nandamuri Balakrishna has discovered that his upcoming movie Bhagavanth Kesari has a spiritual connection as it is being released for Dasara.

At a press meet organised in Hyderabad on Sunday, 15 October, the Akhanda-star declared that his upcoming film, where he is playing the titular role of Nelakonda Bhagavanth Kesari, would be the blockbuster of the year at the Telugu box office.

“I don’t know if it is accidental or is a God’s plan, but my film Bhagavanth Kesari is releasing for the Navaratri festival when Goddess Durgamma represents the embodiment of divine energy. Durga means female power. The story of this movie is also about women’s power and how to empower the girl child. If you observe, Durgamma’s vehicle is a tiger. The story is driven by the slogan ‘Beti Ko Banao Sher‘ (raise your daughter like a tigress). Also, the name of the movie starts with God — Bhagavanth,” the actor observed.

Touted to be an action drama and a true story of Nelakonda Bhagavanth Kesari, Bhagavanth Kesari is directed by Anil Ravipudi. It is bankrolled by Sahu Garapati and Harish Peddi under the Shine Screens banner.

Sreeleela plays the character of Vijay Lakshmi aka Vijji Papa in the film. It also features Arjun Rampal, Kajal Aggarwal, and R Sarathkumar in significant roles.

The film has recently been censored with the U/A certificate.
