Telugu version of Manjummel Boys coming soon

The Telugu rights of the Malayalam blockbuster hit Manjummel Boys have been acquired by the renowned film production company Mythri Movie Makers for a sum of ₹2 crore.

It is learnt that the Telugu dubbing work is in progress.

Manjummel Boys is a resounding hit in South India. The survival drama is equally being raved by Hyderabad film buffs for its great storytelling and screenplay.

Mythri Movie Makers has been in the news for bagging back-to-back blockbusters like Prabhas’ Salaar: Part 1-Ceasefire and Teja Sajja’s Hanu-Man, except for the most recent film Varun Tej’s Operation Valentine which toppled at the box office.

Helmed by director Chidambaram, Manjummel Boys features Soubin Shahir and a talented ensemble cast. It tells a gripping survival thriller inspired by real-life events from 2006.

Despite its modest budget of ₹14 crore, the film achieved unprecedented success by grossing over ₹175 crore worldwide within weeks of its release in Kerala, thus making it an industry hit in Malayalam.

Mythri Movie Makers is now betting big on regional hits for Telugu audiences.

Recently, renowned Telugu director SS Rajamouli’s son SS Karthikeya acquired the Telugu dubbing rights for Premalu, which eventually did well in the Telugu states.

With the proven success, Mythri Movie Makers intend to replicate the success of Manjummel Boys in the Telugu market.
