Tovino Thomas-starrer Anweshippin Kandethum will be streaming on Netflix from 8 March.
According to reports, the digital rights of the Malayalam investigative thriller have been sold to Netflix for a whopping amount.
The movie is based on two different murder mysteries set in the 1990s, which are investigated and solved by the protagonist (played by Tovino Thomas).
The film entered the fifth week of its theatrical run and is still doing good business at the box office. It earned a gross of ₹40 crore worldwide in four weeks.
Anweshippin Kandethum is directed by debutant director Darwin Kuriakose. Yoodlee Films and Theatre of Dreams bankrolled it. Jinu V Abraham penned the script.
The music is composed by Santosh Narayanan and the cinematography is handled by Gautam Shankar.
Anweshippin Kandethum has an ensemble cast, including Arthana Binu, Sadique, Shammy Thilakam, and Pramod.
The movie won laurels for having been narrated realistically.
It is enjoying a successful run in theatres though other films like Premalu, Bramayugam, and Manjummel Boys — released during the same time — entered the ₹50-crore club.
