‘Bramayugam’ enters ₹50-crore club, second Malayalam movie in 2024 to achieve the feat

Bramayugam enters ₹50-crore club

Mammootty’s Bramayugam has collected ₹50 crore, thus becoming the second Malayalam movie to enter the elite club in 2024. Premalu, helmed by Girish AD, is the first Malayalam film to achieve the feat this year.

Helmed by Rahul Sadhasivan, the Mammootty-starrer collected a gross of ₹50 crore in 11 days.

The makers revealed the news on social media.

The film has now been released in different languages.

In its first week, Bramayugam collected around ₹17.85 crore from the domestic market.

According to the Sacnilk website, the flick witnessed 61.50 percent occupancy in Kochi on its 11th day. The occupancy rate was 34 percent in Chennai and 44 percent in Bengaluru. The occupancy rate was 39 percent in NCR and 44 percent in Mumbai.

Released on 15 February, Bramayugam is still drawing crowds to cinema halls.

Meanwhile, Premalu, Anweshippin Kandethum, and Manjummel Boys, too, are doing good business in theatres.

Premalu earned over ₹60 crore at the box office, while Manjummel Boys ran to packed houses with extra late-night shows during the first weekend.

Shot in Black-and-White, Bramayugam is a horror thriller where superstar Mammootty plays a negative role.

It is Mammootty’s third movie to enter the ₹50-crore club in consecutive years, after Bheeshma Parvam (2022) and Kannur Squad (2023).

Bramayugam is bankrolled by Night Shift Studios and Y Not Studios.

It features Arjun Ashokan, Siddharth Bharathan, Amalda Liz, and Manikandan Achary in key roles.
