Raaj Kamal Films International, the makers of Kamal Haasan’s Thug Life, released a teaser revealing Silambarasan TR’s look in the movie on Wednesday, 8 May.
The 40-second teaser shows the Tamil actor driving through a desert in an SUV and pointing a gun towards the camera at the end while sporting a smug smile.
Silambarasan looks dashing in the new avatar and the Thug Life teaser introduces him as a “new thug in the realms of dust”.
Sharing the Simbu’s look on X, the makers wrote: “In the Realms of Dust, a New Thug Arises! STR makes his Mark.”

Silambarasan replaced Malayalam actor Dulquer Salman in this Mani Ratnam’s directorial. Dulquer opted out of the film due to a delay in the shooting and date issues.
Interestingly, the original choice for the role was Simbu himself. But he did not come aboard then due to his looks, which he designed for his next movie — tentatively titled STR48.
Interestingly, Silambarasan’s STR48 is also being produced by Kamal Haasan’s Raaj Kamal Films International.
The shooting of STR48 will commence only in May after the actor wraps up Thug Life.
Thug Life has an ensemble cast of Trisha, Nasser, Gautham Karthik, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Joju George, Ali Fazal, Sanya Malhotra, and Pankaj Tripathi.
Further, Arvind Swami is likely to do a role in the flick, given that Jayam Ravi walked out of the project owing to date issues.
The team recently began the Delhi schedule. A leaked photo of Kamal and Simbu from the sets went viral two days ago.
AR Rahman is composing the music for the film. This is the first time Rahman, Mani Ratnam, and Kamal Haasan have teamed up for a project.
