Tovino Thomas-starrer ‘Anweshippin Kandethum’ rakes in ₹50 crore

Anweshippin Kandethum rakes in ₹50 crore

The makers of Tovino Thomas-starrer Anweshippin Kandethum have announced that the film made a total business of ₹5o crore at the box office.

The Malayalam movie, released on 9  February, revolves around two murder mysteries in the 1990s.

The investigative thriller won the hearts of the Malayalam audience and critics for its realistic narrative.

Directed by debutant Darwin Kuriakose, Anweshippin Kandethum is produced by Yoodlee Films and Theatre of Dreams.

The Tovino Thomas-starrer entered the fourth week of its theatrical run and is doing good business at the box office.

It earned a gross of ₹40 crore in three weeks. The total business, including digital rights, proved the film a successful venture for the makers.

Jinu V Abraham penned the script. The music was composed by Santosh Narayanan.

Gautam Shankar was the cinematographer.

Anweshippin Kandethum also featured Arthana Binu, Sadique, Shammy Thilakam, and Pramod.

Recently, the makers unveiled the second success teaser.

Sharing the success teaser on social media, Tovino wrote: “Get ready to witness the euphoria! Our success trailer is here to blow your minds. #AnweshippinKandethum is running successfully in your nearby theatres!!”

The digital rights of Anweshippin Kandethum have been sold to Netflix for a whopping amount. It will be streamed in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and Kannada languages on the OTT giant from 8 March.

Meanwhile, February 2024 seems to have turned out to be a profitable month for the Malayalam industry with four films attaining hit status at the box office —  Premalu, Bramayugam, Manjummel Boys, and Anweshippin Kandethum.
