Actor Mohanlal, who had been shooting for the Prithviraj directorial Empuraan, is now in Chennai on the sets of L360.
L360, the yet-to-be-titled film of Mohanlal and National Award winner Tharun Moorthy is anticipated to be a drama.
Sharing a video of Mohanlal on the sets, Tharun wrote on his Instagram stories: “Welcome back L. Last lap of L360.”
In another Instagram post, the director also shared the timeline of the shoot of the film till now.
He wrote: “Kick start The Final schedule. Ranni –>> Thodupuzha –>>Wagmon–>> Chennai. Kilometres and kilometres.”
In the recently conducted Nation Film Awards ceremony, producer Sandip Senan and director Tharun Moorthy received the Best Feature Film in Malayalam Award for Saudi Vellakka.
L360 marks the reunion of Mohanlal and Shobana after 15 years. Earlier, the duo was seen together in the 2009 film Sagar Alias Jacky.
Some of Shobana-Mohanlals hit films include Pakshe (1994), Minnaram (1994), Manichithrathazhu (1994), and Thenmavin Kombathu (1994).
M Renjith of Rejaputhra Visual Media is bankrolling L360. It was written by Tharun Moorthy and KR Sunil. Nishad Yusuf is the editor and Vishnu Govind is the sound designer.
Jakes Bejoy is composing the music. He teamed up with Tharun Moorthy earlier for Operation Java (2021).
On the other hand, Mohanlal was also shooting for Empuraan, the anticipated sequel to the 2019 hit Lucifer.
The film has been completing its shooting at a brisk pace. A while ago, the film was shot in Gujarat, then in Hyderabad for a brief while, and then is now shooting in Thiruvananthapuram.
Meanwhile, Mohanlal’s directorial debut Barroz is also expected to be released soon. He will also be seen in Rambaan, directed by veteran filmmaker Joshiy.
The Malayalam Superstar is also a part of other non-Malayalam films like Vrishabha and Kannappa. Both are touted to be pan-Indian projects.
