'Rambaan' is more of a pan-Indian movie since actors from other industries would join the cast soon: Mohanlal

The title of Mohanlal’s new movie with veteran director Joshiy — Rambaan — was announced on Monday, 30 October. A motion poster of the film was also released on the occasion.
In the motion poster, Mohanlal is seen standing atop a car holding a menacing machine gun in one hand and wielding a hammer in the other.
The movie is touted to be a high-octane action entertainer.
Kalyani Panicker, the daughter of actress Bindhu Panicker, will made her acting debut with Rambaan. She is expected to play the daughter of Mohanlal in the flick.
Rambaan is written by actor Chemban Vinod Jose who earlier penned critically acclaimed films like Angamaly Diaries (2017) and Bheemante Vazhi (2017).
Chemban Vinod Jose said he didn’t write the script for Mohanlal. The writer also recalled that he developed the script only when Mohanlan agreed to do the project after he was briefed about the story in just one line.
Chemban added that the main weapon of Rambaan (Mohanlal) is the chain of the bullet.
Mohanlal said the movie will be shot in India and the US.
According to him, Rambaan is not just a Malayalam film but is more of a pan-Indian movie since actors from other industries would join the cast soon.
The cinematography is by Sameer Tahir and the music is by Vishnu Vijay, who became famous with his tracks in Thallumaala (2022) and Sulaikha Manzil (2023).

The film is jointly produced by Chemban Vinod, Einstein Zack Paul, and Shailesh R Singh. It is expected to be released during Easter/Vishu in 2025.
Meanwhile, Joshiy’s Antony is expected to be released in theatres this year. Mohanlal worked with Joshiy on several films and most of their ventures were successful.
