First-look poster of Vishnu Manchu from Kannappa

On the occasion of Maha Shivaratri on Friday, 8 March, the first-look poster of Vishnu Manchu from his most anticipated film Kannappa was released.

Kannappa is based on the story of a Bhakta Kannappa, a devotee of lord Shiva.

Sharing the poster on social media, Manchu Vishnu wrote: “Honoured and privileged to portray the greatest devotee of Lord Shiva, Kannappa. Today on MahaShivaRatriॐ, here is your Kannappa.”

The first-look poster shows the actor as Kannappa, holding a bow and arrow.

The period drama is helmed by director Mukesh Singh.

The second schedule of Kannappa is underway in New Zealand.

Vishnu Manchu is playing the titular role in the ambitious venture. His son Avram is making a debut in the flick.

Hollywood cinematographer Sheldon Chow is also working on it.

24 Frames Factory and AVA Entertainments are jointly producing this pan-India movie.

Paruchuri Gopalakrishna, Burra Sai Madhav, and Thota Prasad penned the story.

Kannappa attracted top talent from India, including major cast members and top technicians.

It stars legendary actor Mohan Babu, Mohanlal, Dr Shiva Rajkumar and Prabhas.

Bharatanatyam dancer Preity Mukhundhan is debuting in the film as the female lead.

Besides, renowned choreographer Prabhu Deva, often dubbed the Indian Michael Jackson, joined the project to choreograph the songs.
