Shobana to play a key role in Mohanlal’s ‘L360’

'L360' will be Shobana's 56th film with Mohanlal. She is super excited to do a Malayalam film after four years.

Mohanlal’s new movie, tentatively titled L360, is making headlines every other day because of the fan theories. Rumours are agog that Mohanlal will play the role of a taxi driver in the flick.

Amid these speculations, veteran actor-danseuse Shobana has announced that she will be a part of the ambitious project.

In a video shared on Instagram, Shobana revealed that she has joined team L360 and it will be her 56th movie with Mohanlal.

She said she was super excited to do a Malayalam film after four years and asked the audience to wish her the best.

Shobana was last seen in Varane Avashyamund in 2020, where she shared the screen with Suresh Gopi, Dulquer Salmaan, and Kalyani Priyadarshan.

Shobana-Mohanlal: A hit combo

Shobana and Mohanlal are acting together in L360 after 15 years. They were last seen in Sagar Alias Jackie (2009).

Their physiological horror film Manichithrathazhu (1994) is a classic hit and has been remade in many languages.

Some of Shobana-Mohanlal’s hit films include Pakshe (1994), Minnaram (1994), and Thenmavin Kombathu (1994).

In March, Mohanlal took to social media to announce that Tharun Moorthy will helm his 360th film. The Malayalam Superstar shared a picture and confirmed the news about L360 on his social media handles.

He also revealed that the shooting will begin in April.

His post read: “Looking forward to working with Tharun Moorthy and M Renjith for my 360th film. Directed by Tharun Moorthy, the film is scripted by KR Sunil and the director. The project is produced by M Renjith under Rejaputhra Visual Media. Appreciating your prayers and well wishes as the shoot begins this April.”

Soon after the announcement, netizens started discussing the film’s genre.

M Renjith will produce L360 under Rejaputhra Visual Media.

It is written by Tharun Moorthy and KR Sunil — a photographer, painter and sculptor.

Shobana’s entry in L360 has certainly increased the anticipation for the flick.
