Mohanlal’s debut directorial movie Barroz, a fantasy film, will be released worldwide on 28 March.
The actor revealed the new poster of the movie as a New Year gift. In the new still, a bald Mohanlal is seen sitting on a horse-like structure.
Barroz’s screenplay is based on the novel “Barroz: Guardian of D’Gama’s Treasure” by Jijo Punnoose. As per the novel, Barroz is the guardian who protects Vasco da Gama’s hidden treasure for over four centuries.
Barroz has to pass on this wealth to a true descendant of Vasco da Gama.
Mohanlal plays the titular role in the flick. The other cast includes Maya, Sara Vega, Tuhin Menon, Cesar Lorente Raton, Kallirroi Tziafeta, and Guru Somasundaram.
The film is shot in 3D.
Mohanal’s Christmas release Neru (2023) became a super hit by earning more than ₹50 crore from the box office.
His next with Lijo Jose Pellissery, Malaikottai Vaaliban, is set for release in January.
L2: Empuraan, the sequel to Lucifer (2019), directed by Prithviraj Sukumarn, is under shooting.
A new movie titled Rambaan directed by Joshiy was announced recently.
