Bramayugam budget revealed

Mammootty’s Bramayugam is all set for release in cinema halls on 15 February.

The Malayalam movie is running high on expectations since Mammootty will be seen in a different avatar — a sorcerer.

Besides, the makers are releasing the film in Black-and-White format, which piqued the interest of moviegoers and Mammootty fans.

The stills released from the horror thriller have caught the fancy of everyone.

Meanwhile, speculations are rife about the budget of Bramayugam. There was a discussion on social media where netizens opined that the budget would be less since the film is shot in Black and White.

Some speculated that Bramayugam could have been made with a budget ranging from ₹2 crore to ₹10 crore, while some predicted that the makers could have shelled out around ₹35 crore on the flick.

However, ending these speculations, producer Chakravarthy Ramachandra disclosed the budget of the film.

Good pre-sales in the UK

Directed by Bhootakalam-fame Rahul Sadhasivam, Bramayugam is witnessing good pre-sales in the UK and the UAE.

According to trade pundits, day 1 of UK pre-sales are nearing the £10K mark ie., around ₹5 lakh.

Further, the Mammootty-starrer is being released in over 22 countries.

Bramayugam is touted to be a horror thriller. The pan-Indian film will be released in five languages — Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi.

It is scripted by director Rahul Sadasivan.

Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award-winning novelist TD Ramakrishnan penned the dialogues.

Bramayugam is jointly produced by Night Shift Studios and Y Not Studios.

It also stars Arjun Ashokan, Sidharth Bharathan, and Amalda Liz in key roles.

Shehnad Jalal is the cinematographer. Jothish Shankar is the production designer.

Shafique Mohamed Ali is the editor and Christo Xavier is the music composer.
