Ajith to join hands with Prashanth Neel for KGF unierse_

Ajith Kumar recently met director Prashanth Neel to discuss two potential film projects, as reported by DT Next. The first film could be a standalone project, while the second might connect to Yash’s KGF universe.

These projects, to be produced by Vijay Kiragandur of Hombale Films, are expected to launch in about a year.

Prashanth Neel reportedly asked for three years from Ajith. Their first collaboration, likely AK 64, will start in 2025 and release in 2026. The second project, potentially Ajith’s 65th or 66th film, will lead up to KGF 3, with Ajith’s character being pivotal in Neel’s cinematic universe.

If plans proceed, Ajith and Yash might share the screen in KGF 3, with an official announcement expected in 2025. While DT Next confirmed Ajith’s involvement, many online portals are dismissing it as false news.

Ajith is currently filming Vidaa Muyarchi with director Magizh Thirumeni, set for a Diwali 2024 release. Later, he will begin work on Adhik Ravichandran’s Good Bad Ugly.

Bankrolled by Lyca Productions, Vidaa Muyarchi also stars Trisha, Arjun Sarja, and Regina Cassandra. The technical team includes cinematographer Nirav Shah, editor NB Srikanth, and music composer Anirudh Ravichander.

Ajith’s meeting with Prashanth Neel happened during a break from Vidaa Muyarchi.

The makers began shooting Vidaa Muyarchi in October last year. Unfortunately, art director Milan, who was working on the film, passed away from a cardiac arrest in October. Netflix acquired the post-theatrical rights for the flick.

Ajith’s last release was H Vinoth’s Thunivu, which was released last year.

Meanwhile, Prashanth Neel is working on Salaar: Part 2-Shouryanga Parvam and an untitled Jr NTR film. It remains to be seen if he will schedule Ajith’s film between these projects.

The filmmaker began his career with the action film Ugramm (2014), starring Sriimurali. He later directed the KGF films, which he describes as a “simple Kannada film that evolved into a pan-Indian project.”

Prashanth Neel and Yash’s KGF franchise made history in Indian cinema, breaking numerous box office records.

While gearing for the release of Salaar, Prashanth Neel spoke to Pinkvilla about KGF 3. He confirmed, “KGF 3 will happen. I don’t know if I will direct it, but Yash will always be involved. We didn’t announce it just for the sake of it.”
