‘Salaar 2’ would be more than friendship and enmity

According to insider information, Salaar: Part 1 Ceasefire unfolds the story of Deva and Rajamannar, while the character of Deva’s father alias Salar is expected to make an appearance in the second part.

Director Prashanth Neel strategically introduces the sequel in the pre-climax of Salaar: Part 1 Ceasefire, thus building anticipation for what’s to come. Though not officially confirmed by the team, rumours suggest that Jagapathi Babu’s role will take centre stage in the sequel.

The first-look poster featuring a character with a long moustache is believed to be the original Salaar, with the current character portrayed by Prabhas being Salaar’s son.

While these details remain shrouded in suspense, the countdown begins as fans eagerly anticipate the film’s release.

With Prabhas outshining Shah Rukh Khan in the advance bookings, given the high expectations for its box office performance, the pan-Indian movie of Prabhas appears to have blockbuster acclaim even before the film is released.

Salaar has the potential to gross over ₹1,000 crore at the box office worldwide. Trade pundits estimate that Salaar: Part 1 Ceasefire might earn collections ranging from ₹1,200 crore to ₹1,500 crore.

With a solid 20-day run up to Sankranthi, Salaar is poised to dominate the festival season if it secures a hit talk from audiences.
