Indian 2, an ambitious project of Kamal

Earlier, Indian 2 was expected to be released in April. However, the release date was postponed because of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Indian 2 casts Kamal Haasan in the lead and Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, and SJ Suryah in key roles.

The clip, titled “Indian 2-An Intro”, was released by several celebs, including Rajinikanth, director SS Rajamouli, and Aamir Khan.

The Intro shows Kamal Haasan as Senapathi declaring that “Indian is immortal and that he would return wherever there was an injustice”.

Indian 2 has been in the making for a long time. It is directed by Shankar, produced by Lyca Productions and presented by Red Giant Movies.

It has music by Anirudh Ravichander and cinematography by Ravi Varma.

Sreekar Prasad is the editor.

Kamal Haasan was last seen in director Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Vikram (2022), a blockbuster hit.

In 2023, he didn’t appear on the screen. However, this year, he is all set to scorch the big screens with Thug Life, Indian 2, and Kalki 2898-AD.

Meanwhile, Shankar is simultaneously working on Game Changer which stars Telugu actor Ram Charan in the lead role.
