Kamal Haasan reveals big updates about his 'Thug Life' and 'Indian 2'

Kamal Haasan has an interesting lineup of films. The veteran actor was last seen in director Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Vikram (2022), a blockbuster hit.

In 2023, he didn’t appear on the screen. However, this year, he is all set to scorch the big screens with Thug Life, Indian 2, and Kalki 2898 AD.

But Kamal Haasan is now busy with the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. It was rumoured that the actor would join the Thug Life location after the elections.

Updates about Indian 2 and Thug Life

In an interview with The Hindu, Kamal Haasan said that the shooting of the third part of Indian 2, his much-awaited sequel to the 1996 movie Indian, is over. It is in the post-production stage now.

About Thug Life, his forthcoming flick with maverick director Mani Ratnam after their super hit  Nayakan, Kamal said he would join the shooting after the Lok Sabha elections.

Recently, there were reports that Mani Ratnam and crew came back to India from Serbia, where they filmed a major portion of Thug Life.

Malayalam actor Dulquer Salmaan opted out of the venture due to date clashes.

Jayam Ravi is also rumoured to have opted out of the film due to date issues.

Meanwhile, Kamal Haasan revealed that he will appear in a cameo role in Prabhas’ upcoming multi-starrer epic Kalki 2898-AD.

On Manjummel Boys

When asked whether a hat tip to his old films is a success mantra in the wake of the recent success of the Malayalam movie Manjummel Boys, Kamal replied that he was happy about that.

The Vikram actor said he was a limelight moth and was grateful for the hat tip from team Manjummel Boys.

Also, he described the film was an encomium to him, Ilaiyaraaja, and the location (Guna Caves).
