Dulquer Salmaan no longer part of Mani Ratnam’s ‘Thug Life’

Dulquer Salmaan opted out of Thug Life?

Veteran actor Kamal Haasan and legendary filmmaker Mani Ratnam have teamed up after 35 years for Thug Life. In 1989, they both came together for their cult gangster drama Nayakan.

Thug Life has an ensemble cast — Trisha, Jayam Ravi, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Gautam Karthick, and Joju George.

Malayalam actor Dulquer Salmaan was also part of the project.

But now, reports say that Dulquer Salmaan has quit the Kamal Hassan-starrer due to his busy schedule.

Dulquer Salmaan’s spokesperson confirmed to the Zoom TV channel that the actor opted out of the film due to date issues.

Thug Life is jointly produced by Kamal Haasan, Mani Ratnam, R Mahendran, and Siva Ananth under their banners Raaj Kamal Films International and Madras Talkies.

Udhayanidhi Stalin’s Red Giant Movies is presenting it.

AR Rahman is composing the music. This is the first time the three legends (Kamal Haasan, Mani Ratnam, and Rahman) are coming together for a grand project.

Dulquer Salmaan’s upcoming films

Dulquer Salmaan is currently busy shooting for his forthcoming Telugu thriller Lucky Baskhar. Director Venky Atluri of Vaathi/Sir fame is wielding the megaphone.

The Malayalam actor is also working on a movie that has been tentatively titled Suriya43. Soorarai Pottru director Sudha Kongara is helming the prestigious project.

Dulquer Salmaan and Tamil superstar Suriya will the screen space for the first time in Suriya43.

These apart, Dulquer Salmaan will also feature in the Tamil movie Kaantha, helmed by Selvamani Selvaraj. Rana Daggubati is also playing the lead role in the flick.
