Tipu Express is now Wodeyar Express

The Southwestern Railway has renamed the Tipu Express as Wodeyar Express after a recommendation by Mysuru MP Pratap Simha.

Simha made the recommendation saying that there were no trains during Tipu’s regime. The express train plies between Mysuru and Bengaluru.

The new name came into effect on Saturday, 8 October.
