Queer Swabhiman Yatra: 9th edition of Pride march returns to Hyderabad after a year-long gap

The march marks social and self-acceptance, achievements, legal rights, and pride for the LGBTQIA+ community.

After a year’s gap, the LGBTQIA+ community in Hyderabad organised a Pride march on Sunday, 11 February, 2024.

It was the ninth edition of the walk, named the “Queer Swabhiman Yatra”.

Hundreds participated in the 4.5-km walk from Raidurgam to Shilparamam cultural centre in Madhapur.

The participants wore vibrant colours of the rainbow and walked holding queer community flags.
