It’s not such a serious issue: Karnataka Minister BC Nagesh on lecturer’s terrorist remark

Karnataka Education Minister BC Nagesh on Tuesday, 29 November, said the controversy over the terrorist remark by a lecturer was not a serious issue and was being blown out of proportion.

While stating that the incident was unfortunate, the Minister went on to say that teachers often called students Ravana and Shakuni, and not much should be read into it.

Attempting to dismiss the controversy, he said the mention of a name from a particular community was needlessly being made a national issue.
