How students tried to reach protest site in fortress Delhi

With Jantar Mantar sealed and Delhi under heavy security, students took back lanes and travelled in small groups to reach the anti-SIR protest on October 10.

Students from left-wing organisations attempted to march towards the protest site, demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over alleged irregularities in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. However, police personnel intercepted the protesters and detained several student activists.
