BJP has mastered the art of stealing electorate’s rights: AICC General Secretary RS Surjewala

The Congress party on Thursday, 17 November,  accused Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai of being in cahoots with BBMP and a private agency to steal voter data and manipulating the electorate’s right to vote.

KPCC President DK Shivakumar lashed out at the BJP saying it had turned Karnataka into the corruption capital of India.

AICC General Secretary Randeep Surjewala said Bommai, who is also minister in charge of BBMP, along with the civic body had hired a private agency in the garb of conducting an awareness campaign but collected voter data in a door-to-door exercise that amounted to impersonation and fraud.

The Congress claimed data was uploaded on a private app which was a brazen violation. The Opposition party has demanded Bommai’s resignation.
