BJP National General Secretary (Organisation) BL Santhosh, Kerala doctor Jaggu Swamy, BDJS President Tushar Vellapally, and Karimnagar lawyer B Srinivas have got yet another reprieve from the Telangana High Court.

The court on Thursday, 22 December, extended the stay it had imposed on the notices issued by the Telangana police to these four under Section 41A of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC). It has been extended till 30 December.

As the earlier extension expired on Wednesday, the court issued the fresh extension after the counsels of the petitioners sought a hearing on the case.

In fact, Kottilil Narayan Jaggu, alias Jaggu Swamy, challenged a look-out notice issued against him when he failed to appear before the police in response to the notice issued under Section 41A of the CrPC. The look-out notice was issued on 22 November.

The police issued notices to Santhosh and Swamy after their names figured in a conversation between “three emissaries of the BJP” who tried to lure four BRS legislators at a farmhouse in Moinabad, Hyderabad, on 26 October.
