Following the success of the Malayalam film 2018, some Mollywood movies that were due to release in May were pushed to a June release.
The Malayalam film industry heaved a sigh of relief with 2018 becoming a massive success. It became the first Malayalam movie to cross ₹150 crore at the box office.
However, films that were released after 2018 have found it difficult to draw audiences to the theatre, with films like Neymar (2023), Live (2023), and Thrishanku (2023) being exceptions with moderate business. List of Malayalam films scheduled for June:
‘Nalla Nilavulla Rathri’ is releasing in June. (Supplied)
Written and directed by debutant Murphy Devasy, Nalla Nilavulla Rathri features Chemban Vinod Jose, Jinu Joseph, Binu Pappu, Ganapathi, Sajin Cherukayil, and Nithin George.
Ajay David Kachappilly is the cinematographer and Shyam Sasidharan is the editor.
The music has been composed by Kailas and the sound design has been done by Vishnu Govind.
The makers recently released a song — “Thaanaro Thannaro” — from the movie which became an instant hit and is on top of the playlist.
Produced by Sandra Thomas, Nalla Nilavulla Rathri will be released in the second week of June.
Dileep’s Voice of Sathyanathan is a highly-anticipated movie that will release in June. However, the date is yet to be confirmed. A comedy entertainer, the film is directed by Raffi.
Apart from Dileep, Voice of Sathyanathan also features Joju George, Makarand Deshpande, Jagapathi Babu, Sminu Sijo, Anusree, and Johny Antony in pivotal roles.
Bollywood actor Anupam Kher will be playing an important role in it.

Kolla, directed by Suraj Varma, casts Rajisha Vijayan and Priya Prakash Varrier in the lead roles. The movie will hit the big screens on 9 June.
It is touted to be an intense thriller and is drawing high expectations.
The story of this women-centric film focuses on the two female characters and the events happening in their lives.
Shaan Rahman is the music composer, Don Max is the editor, and Rajavel Mohan is the cinematographer.
Neeraja has been written and directed by Rajesh K Raman. The film features Shruti Ramachandran, Govind Padmasoorya, and Srinda in the lead roles.
It is produced by Uma and M Ramesh Reddy under the banner of Suraj Production.
Sachin Shankor Mannath composed the music. The cinematography is handled by Ragesh Narayanan. Ayoob Khan is the editor. The movie will release in theatres on 2 June.

Kunchacko Boban has teamed up with Senna Hegde for the upcoming film Padmini. The movie will hit the big screens on 9 June.
Vincy Aloshious, Madonna Sebastian, and Aparna Balamurali also feature in the movie.
Jakes Bejoy is the music composer and Sreeraj Raveendran is the cinematographer. The editing is by Manu Antony.
Gayathri Kishore is the costume designer and the makeup department is handled by Ranjith Manaliparambil.
