Gaami collects ₹20.30 crore gross worldwide

Vishwak Sen-starrer Gaami has collected ₹20.3o crore gross at the global box office in just three days.

The makers of this fantasy drama announced this on Monday, 11 March. Releasing a poster, the makers claimed that the flick attained profits in all territories by earning ₹20.3o crore gross worldwide.

Gaami earned ₹9.07 crore gross worldwide on Day 1. It collected over ₹4.5 crore net in the Indian market.

It grossed ₹19.10 crore worldwide on Day 2. The weekend helped the Vishwak Sen-starrer gain momentum at the box office, despite tough competition from the Telugu version of the Malayalam film Premalu.

Premalu was released on the same day (8 March) as Gaami. The Telugu dubbed version won applause from ace director SS Rajamouli, who watched it in Prasads Multiplex on the opening day. The movie has won the hearts of the Telugu audience.

Coming back to Gaami, the film is directed by debutant Vidyadhar Kagita. It opened to mixed reviews.

However, the movie seems to have struck a chord with the Telugu audience who are making beelines to the theatres.

Gaami also stars Chandini Chowdhary, Abhinaya, Mohammad Samad, Harika Pedada, Shanti Rao, and Mayank Parak in crucial roles.

It was crowdfunded and presented by V Celluloid. The censor board gave it an ‘A’ certificate.

The Telugu movie is unique in its approach as it was funded through contributions from the public rather than traditional film production methods.

Naresh Kumaran scored the music for the film.
