Biju Menon roped in for 'SKxARM'. (X)
Renowned filmmaker AR Murugadoss is busy working on his next with Sivakarthikeyan, tentatively titled SKxARM aka SK23. This is the first time the director is helming the young actor.
Earlier, the duo collaborated on the Tamil movie Maan Karate (2014), a comedy entertainer co-written by Murugadoss and directed by Krish Thirukumaran.
Meanwhile, the makers of SKxARM announced that Malayalam actor Biju Menon has joined the team.
The production house, Sri Lakshmi Movies, unveiled a special poster welcoming the actor on board. The poster features Biju Menon wielding a walkie-talkie, hinting that he might play a police officer in the movie.
The makers also released a BTS (behind-the-scenes) video, where Murugadoss briefs the scenes to Biju Menon and the crew on the SK23 sets. Further, the Malayalam actor is seen prepping up for action sequences.
The movie also stars Vikranth, Shabeer Kallarakkal, Bollywood actor Vidyut Jammwal, and Rukmini Vasanth in prominent roles.
In a post shared on Instagram about his joining SKxARM, Biju Menon wrote: “Happy to be on board this big and awesome project directed by AR Murugadoss sir. A super-talented team is working day and night for this biggie. Very excited!”
The Murugadoss directorial has music by Anirudh Ravichander, editing by Sreekar Prasad and cinematography by Sudeep Elamon.

Biju Menon is acting in a Tamil movie after a long gap of 14 years. His last Tamil film was Porkkalam (2010). He will next be seen in the much-awaited Malayalam anthology series Manorathangal, to be premiered on ZEE5 on 15 August.
He recently delivered a hit with Thalavan along with Asif Ali. His Nadanna Sambavam also received a good reception from the audience and critics. The movie is now available on manoramaMax.
On the other hand, apart from SKxARM, Sivakarthikeyan is busy with Amaran. The Tamil film is slated for release on 31 October for Diwali.
Sai Pallavi is the leading lady in Amaran. Netflix acquired its OTT rights. The teaser showcased Sivakarthikeyan as an Indian Army Rashtriya Rifles officer.
The movie is believed to be a biopic based on the life of Major Mukund Varadarajan. It is directed by Rajkumar Periaswamy and backed by Kamal Haasan’s Raajkamal Films International.
Meanwhile, after wrapping up SKxARM, movie Murugadoss will start working on his Bollywood film with Salman Khan. The movie, titled Sikandar, is expected to be released for Eid next year. Recently, Sathyaraj joined the cast.
