Ram Charan, Sukumar reunite for RC17

Ace Telugu filmmaker Sukumar and global sensation Ram Charan are joining forces for a big cinematic project, tentatively titled RC17.

RC17 is being produced jointly by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings. With these heavyweights coming together, fans can expect a pan-India cinematic experience like never before.

The makers announced the project on social media handles on Monday, 25 March.

The X post of Mythri Movie Makers read: “Mighty forces reunite for an earth-shattering magnum opus 🔥❤‍🔥 Global Star @AlwaysRamCharan X The Maverick Director @aryasukku X Rockstar @ThisisDSP X @MythriOfficial X @SukumarWritings = #Raring2Conquer 🐎 #RC17 is all set to add new colours to the Indian Cinema ❤‍🔥”

After the massive success of SS Rajamouli’s RRR (2022), this collaboration adds another milestone to Ram Charan‘s impressive career.

While Ram Charan became a global icon after the blockbuster success of RRR, Sukumar became a household name for the Pushpa franchise, which took the world by storm.

Scheduled to commence shooting later this year, RC17 aims for a grand release in the last quarter of 2025.

Ram Charan, Sukumar, Mythri Movie Makers, and music director Devi Sri Prasad reunite for the second time since the 2018 blockbuster hit Rangasthalam.

Though Sukumar is respected for some blockbuster hits at the Telugu box office, his action-periodic drama Rangasthalam was one such movie which earned accolades from every section of the audience. The film also bettered Ram Charan’s film career when he became stagnant.
