Ram Charan on dealing with RRR success

In a recent interview, Telugu actor Ram Charan Tej discussed his approach to dealing with success and the challenge of living up to his father Chiranjeevi Konidela’s legacy.

Known for his role in SS Rajamouli’s blockbuster film RRR (2022), Ram Charan revealed that he remained indoors for an entire week after the film’s success.

Ram Charan explained he does not know how to take pressure. “I’m not even sure if it’s a good or bad trait. I’ve partied when a movie hasn’t performed well. But when RRR became a rage, I recall spending a week at home, feeling relieved, relaxed, and enjoying time with my family.”

The Telugu actor stressed that he chooses to focus on living in the present moment.

He added, “I believe that what I do today and in this moment is crucial. I strive to do what is right as a son, father, and brother each day. If I can continue achieving this daily, I believe it will lead to success in the years to come.” The success of RRR was truly historic, not only for Ram Charan but for the entire cast and crew involved.

Released in 2022, the SS Rajamouli directorial, which also featured Jr NTR, Alia Bhatt, and Ajay Devgn in lead roles, achieved tremendous popularity.

The movie’s music, notably the song “Naatu Naatu” composed by MM Keeravaani, garnered widespread praise and even won a Golden Globe and an Oscar in 2023.

Despite his immense success, Ram Charan maintains a grounded perspective.

He added, “I’ve seen my father at home, and that keeps me grounded. Whether it’s success or failure, I believe in cherishing the journey and the process.”

This balanced attitude towards his career reflects his resilience and optimistic outlook.

Next up, Ram Charan is set to star in Shankar’s Game Changer, alongside Kiara Advani. The ensemble also features Anjali, Samuthirakani, SJ Suryah, Srikanth, and Sunil.

Produced by Dil Raju’s Sri Venkateswara Creations, the film is based on a story by director Karthik Subbaraj. With cinematography handled by S Thirunavukkarasu and music composed by S Thaman, Game Changer will be released not only in Tamil and Telugu but also in Hindi and other regional languages.

Furthermore, Ram Charan has projects lined up with acclaimed directors Buchi Babu Sana (RC16) and Sukumar (RC17), generating significant anticipation among his fans.

As the son of the renowned actor Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan has always faced high expectations. However, he prefers to concentrate on the present rather than feeling burdened by these pressures.

“Instead of dwelling on that, I prioritise the present moment. I believe that what I’m doing today and right now is what matters,” he added.
