After Jr NTR withdrew from the project due to date issues, Buchi Babu reportedly approached Ram Charan upon Sukumar's suggestion.

Earlier, there were rumours about a potential film project being planned under the combination of Young Tiger Jr NTR and director Buchi Babu Sana.
However, due to various factors like scheduling and date clashes, Ram Charan was chosen instead of Jr NTR.
Though Jr NTR had a special interest in the script narrated by Buchi Babu Sana, he opted out of the project due to his busy schedule.
It is learnt that Sukumar played a crucial role in recommending Ram Charan Tej’s name for the role after Jr NTR’s exit.
Following Sukumar’s suggestion, Buchi Babu Sana approached Ram Charan and the actor promptly agreed to be part of the project — RC16.
Sukumar provided valuable suggestions for the movie’s storyline. Buchi Babu has incorporated changes based on his guru’s suggestions.
Reports suggest that Sukumar’s advice on the protagonist’s role, climax, and overall narrative greatly benefited Buchi Babu in turning RC16 into a good commercial potboiler.
Sukumar’s previous collaboration with Ram Charan Tej Rangasthalam was a blockbuster hit at the box office bringing unimaginable profits for the makers.
Whether the Ram Charan Tej-Buchi Babu’s collaboration will replicate the success or not, there is a lot of clamour surrounding the film project which recently went on floors following a pooja ceremony.
Starring Janhvi Kapoor as the female star, RC16 is set against the backdrop of North Andhra Pradesh. There are rumours that the film will be titled ‘Peddi’.
Meanwhile, expectations are running high for RC16 as Nega fans are waiting for the updates. According to the reports, the film’s budget will be around ₹300 crore.
