Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan meet on ‘Vettaiyan’ sets

Lyca Productions, which is bankrolling the film, shared the photos of Amitabh Bachchan and Rajinikanth hugging each other and having a fun banter on the sets of Vettaiyan.

The production team wrote: “The Titans of Indian Cinema! Superstar and Shahenshah grace the sets of Vettaiyan in Mumbai, with their unmatched charisma. ”

Directed by TJ Gnanavel of Jai Bhim fame, Vettaiyan is set to hit the screens in October 2024.

In the title announcement teaser of the flick, dropped on 12 December 2023, Rajinikanth was seen in a classy look delivering the punchline, “When you aim, the prey must fall.”

The first-look poster, unveiled for Pongal in January, showcased Rajinikanth in two looks. He wore sunglasses with a salt-and-pepper look in one pose, and in the other, he wielded a gun in his hand.

In February, Rajinikanth created a buzz when he was spotted in a police uniform at the shooting location. A short video of the actor getting down from a police jeep and waving at the fans went viral.

Apart from Amitabh Bachchan, Vettaiyan also has Malayalam actor Fahadh Faasil, Telugu actor Rana Daggubati, and Manju Warrier, Kishore, Ritika Singh, and Dushara Vijayan in key roles.

Vettaiyan will be released in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. Subaskaran Allirajah is the producer.
