Rajinikanth's 'Vettaiyan' to eb released in October

Superstar Rajinikanth and director TJ Gnanavel’s prestigious project Vettaiyan is all set to entertain fans and moviegoers in October this year.

On Sunday, 7 April, the makers announced on social media that Vettaiyan will be released in October. However, they did not confirm the release date.

In an X post, the production house Lycca Productions wrote: “Kuri vechachu.  VETTAIYAN  is all set to take charge in cinemas this OCTOBER. Get ready to chase down the prey!”

Rajinikanth’s 170th movie has been creating a buzz since its announcement. It has a galaxy of actors, including Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, and Manju Warrier.

The film unit unveiled the first-look poster of the film on 15 January, coinciding with Pongal.

In December last year, Vettaiyan’s makers unveiled its title teaser, where the Tamil Superstar is seen reading a book. In another scene, he is seen carrying a lathi.

Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan are coming together after 33 years for the film, after Hum (1991).

Vettaiyan will be released in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.

Meanwhile, in a leaked video that surfaced on X recently, Rajinikanth was spotted in a police uniform on the film sets. In the video, the actor steps out of an SUV wearing a police uniform, hinting that he might play a cop in the much-anticipated movie.
