Superstar Rajinikanth will be next seen in TJ Gnanavel’s Vettaiyan which has been creating a buzz after its announcement.

The movie, which is Rajinikanth’s 170th movie, has a galaxy of actors, including Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, and Manju Warrier.

On 15 January, coinciding with Pongal day, the crew of the movie unveiled the movie’s official first-look poster.

The poster has Rajinikanth in two looks, one in sunglasses with a salt and pepper look and, in the other, he has a gun in his hand which surely gives the impression that the movie has all the swag of a Rajinikanth movie.

Vettaiyan

Vettaiyan’s makers unveiled its title teaser last month, which gave a glimpse into the film’s world. In the teaser, Rajinikanth is reading a book with a photo of Subhas Chandra Bose.

In another scene, he is seen carrying a lathi. With guns in the teaser and first look poster, the movie surely will have enough action scenes. But the character of the actor and the genre of the film are unknown.

Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan are acting together after 33 years, following their previous project, Mukul S Anand’s Hum (1991). The two actors have already wrapped up a schedule in Mumbai.

The film will be released in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada languages. The movie is produced by Subaskaran Allirajah under Lyca Productions.

Rajinikanth will be next seen in a supporting role in Lal Salaam directed by his daughter Aishwarya Rajinikanth. The movie is expected to be a sports drama featuring Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth. It will be released on 9 February.
