The KGF franchise, which became a pan-India success, made actor Yash, who played the lead role, rise to fame as Rocky Bhai.
While it has been known that the franchise will have a part 3, there hasn’t been any official announcement.
However, in a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Yash confirmed that part 3 will happen for sure.
Answering a question from Indian cricketer Subhnam Gill, Yash said, “KGF 3 will happen for sure, like promised. But I am focusing on these two projects (Toxic and Ramayan). We keep talking about it, we have an idea… once it is right time… it is massive so that is also something that really needs all our attention and focus.”
“Like I said, we really do not want to cash on anything because the audience has given us enough so we are going to do it in a way that they will be proud of. It is a cult. Like Shubnam and a lot of cricketers and a lot of actors keep asking me. They have accepted that character at such a level. Me and Prasanth keep discussing, we will come up with something massive this time,” Yash added.
KGF: Chapter 2 which became one of India’s highest-grossing films, particularly in the Hindi area had a post-credits scene implying that KGF: Chapter 3 would be released soon. The film also starred Srinidhi Shetty in the major role.
Yash, who was last seen in KGF: Chapter 2, is working on Geetu Mohandas’s Toxic, and Nitish Tiwari’s Ramayan. In Ramayan, the KGF star will portray the role of Ravana in the mythological epic.
Meanwhile, Prashanth Neel is working on Salaar: Part 2-Shouryanga Parvam and an untitled Jr NTR film.
