Music director GV Prakash Kumar has been roped in for a Telugu movie where Malayalam actor Dulquer Salmaan will play the lead. Vaathi/Sir (2023)-fame director Venky Atluri is helming the ambitious project.
Marking GV Prakash Kumar’s birthday on Tuesday, 13 June, the makers of the film made an announcement to this effect.
The movie is tentatively titled Production 24 and is produced by Sithara Entertainments in association with Fortune 4 Cinemas.
The shooting of this pan-Indian film will begin in October this year. The makers expect to release it during the next summer.
The details of the cast, crew and plot will be announced shortly.
An actor too, GV Prakash is popular for his works, including Idimuzhakkam, 13, and the music video Adiyae (2021).
The young music director is busy with a slew of films like Dhanhush’s Captain Miller, Emergency, Thangalaan, Mark Antony, Japan, Tiger Nageshwara Rao, Kalvan, and Dear.

Production 24 marks the third Telugu movie of Dulquer Salmaan.
It will be released in Kerala through Wayfarer Films — owned by Dulquer Salmaan.
Earlier, Dulquer acted in Mahanati (2018) and Sita Ramam (2022), both of which were super hits and won him rave reviews for his splendid performances.
He was last seen in the Hindi movie Chup: Revenge of the Artist (2022). The actor won Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Award 2023 for his role as a psycho killer in the flick.
Meanwhile, Dulquer is busy with the post-production works of his new Malayalam movie King of Kotha which is slated for release this Onam season.
He also completed the Netflix series Guns and Gulaabs.
