Telugu actor Rana Daggubati has launched the graphic novel of the Malayalam superhero film Minnal Murali, headlined by Tovino Thomas.
Rana’s VFX-production company Spirit Media has joined hands with Tinkle Comics Studio to launch Minnal Murali graphic novel.
The graphic novel was launched at the Mumbai Comic Con 2024 on Sunday, 21 April.
Directed by Basil Joseph, Minnal Murali was released on the OTT giant Netflix in 2021. It featured Tovino as the superhero.
The movie couldn’t be released in theatres due to the COVID-19 restrictions. Hence, the makers opted for a direct OTT release.
Upon its debut on Netflix, Minnal Murali became a tremendous hit and was applauded for its quality making.
According to Basil Joseph and Tovino Thomas, a sequel of Minnal Murali is on the cards. And this time, the sequel will have a theatrical release.
Currently, Basil is working on Shakthiman with Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh in the lead.
He will next be seen in Guruvayoor Ambala Nadayil, which also stars Prithviraj Sukumarn in the lead.
Meanwhile, Tovino’s immediate release is Nadikar, directed by Jean Paul. His upcoming films include Identity, Ajayante Randam Moshanam, and Mohanlal’s L2: Empuraan.
