'Aavesham' enters ₹100-the crore club. (X)
Fahadh Faasil’s Aavesham has entered the ₹100-crore club, thus becoming the fourth Malayalam film to find a place in this elite club.
Premalu, Manjummel Boys, and Aadujeevitham, released in February and March this year, grossed ₹100 crore worldwide.
Aavesham is Fahadh Faasil’s first ₹100-crore movie. Njan Prakashan (2018) was his first ₹50-crore film.
It registered ₹3 crore at the Kerala box office since its release.
On 16 April, the Fahadh Faasil-starrer created a record by collecting a gross of ₹50 crore worldwide in six days. This is the fastest Malayalam movie to gross ₹50 crore.
Released on 11 April, Aavesham received a tremendous response from the Malayalam audience.
Extra shows were added after it got a positive talk on the opening day.
The movie has earned around ₹42 crore from the Kerala box office.
Directed by Jithu Madhavan, Aavesham tells the story of a don named Ranga (played by Fahadh Fasil) and his encounter with three college students in Bengaluru.
The movie has been appreciated for its fast pace and the mind-blowing performance of Fahadh Faasil.
Aavesham grossed ₹6 crore in Bengaluru. The story, set up against the backdrop of Bengaluru, served as a plus point for the success of the film in the city.
Meanwhile, the film earned ₹4 crore in Tamil Nadu so far.
According to the Sacnilk tracking website, the flick grossed ₹40 crore from overseas and the total India gross is put at over ₹50 crore.
Meanwhile, Varshangalkku Shesham, which was released along with Aavesham, collected ₹70 crore worldwide.
