A techie, who underwent brain surgery while playing the guitar on the operation table, strummed away at an event to commemorate neuroscientists and celebrate regaining functional dependence.

Thirty-seven-year-old Abhishek was good at playing the guitar when he suddenly developed a problem.

His three fingers on the left hand stopped moving whenever he held a guitar.

Diagnosed with task-specific focal hand dystonia, Dr Sharan Srinivasan, known as the ‘guitar doctor’ performed surgery on him while Abhishek strummed his guitar on the operation table.

The video shot by his wife in 2017 had gone viral.
