Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday, 11 November, lauded Karnataka and especially Bengaluru for putting India on the global map.
During his visit to Bengaluru, the Prime Minister who first paid floral tributes to Saint Kanaka Dasa also flagged off the Vande Bharat Express from Mysuru to Chennai.
He inaugurated the swanky Terminal 2 at Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) and later unveiled a 108-ft Kempegowda statue.
While addressing the public, he took a dig at previous governments for lacking vision and said Karnataka surged forward only because of the power of a double engine.
The Congress, however, took a dig at the BJP calling it a ‘trouble engine sarkar’ and launched a campaign on social media highlighting corruption and price rise.
