Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani met Karnataka Chief Minister DK Shivakumar at his residence in Sadashivanagar, Bengaluru, on Sunday, 23 August.

The meeting follows the billionaire businessman’s visit to the Art of Living International Center in south Bengaluru.

It has assumed significance as Adani Enterprises has emerged as the lowest bidder for both packages of the proposed 16.75-km tunnel road connecting Central Silk Board and Hebbal. The contract for the contentious project has not yet been awarded.

South First had previously reported on the difficult position in which the bid had placed the Shivakumar government. The State had estimated the project cost at around ₹17,698 crore. Adani Enterprises quoted ₹22,267 crore, about ₹4,600 crore above the estimate.
