Union Home Minister Amit Shah will hold a crucial meeting with senior BJP leaders from Telangana on Tuesday, 28 February, in New Delhi.
One of the expected agendas is to chalk out an action plan to be adopted for the next Assembly elections in the state this year.
Telangana BJP honchos called
Senior leaders from Telangana, including state party president Bandi Sanjay Kumar, Union Tourism Minister G Kishan Reddy, two MLAs — M Raghunandan Rao and Eatala Rajender — two other MPs — Dharmapuri Arvind and Soyam Babu Rao — and other leaders received calls from Shah’s office, asking them to present at his office by 12 noon on Tuesday.
The party has earlier conducted meetings with full-time convenors, vistaraks, palaks and prabharis, and examined booth-level functioning.
Strategising and planning
Realising that it’s not easy to contest the elections against BRS — led by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao — and the Congress in the state, the BJP leadership in New Delhi is leaving no stone unturned in bringing the party to power in Telangana.
Two party in-charges — Tarun Chugh and Sunil Bansal — are regularly visiting the state to interact with the leaders and discuss strategies to emerge victorious in the Assembly elections.
