The three issues pertain to the installation of pump meters, the Bayyaram steel factory, and funds allotted to Telangana by the Centre.
Telangana BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Monday, 20 February, challenged Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) to a debate on three issues.
The issues are the installation of meters to agricultural pump sets, the Bayyaram steel factory, and the funds given to Telangana by the Central government.
KCR and his Cabinet ministers were lying on the three issues, he told reporters.

He also called on the BJP activists, who were released from prison after being arrested by the police during BJP MLA Eatala Rajender’s visit to Kamalapur in Huzurabad Assembly constituency on 5 February.
He said KCR should accept the challenge and fix the date and time for the debate.
Criticising the police for registering false cases against the BJP leaders, he said that it was the BJP activists who prevented BRS goons from attacking Rajender during his visit to Kamalapur.
“Some policemen, including Task Force CI Venkateswarlu, manhandled BJP workers indiscriminately. Who gave him the authority to beat our activists? How long will such police brutality continue?” Bandi Sanjay asked.
He found fault with the police for opening rowdy sheets against those who question the government.
Bandi Sanjay also said that the BRS government would continue in power for only three months.
He added that when the BJP formed the government, it would take serious note of the police officers who attacked the BJP workers.

“The consequences would be serious for the police who are attacking the BJP workers and some police officers will have to beg after the BJP has been voted to power in the state,” he said.
Bandi Sanjay said that the BJP would continue to fight against the state government for the sake of the party and to protect the people of Telangana.
He also sought to know what the Intelligence Department was doing when a local MLA was visiting the constituency.
It was the responsibility of the police to ensure protection during the visit of an MLA, he said.
Referring to the Bayyaram steel factory, Bandi Sanjay stated that the Centre wrote several letters requesting the state government to submit a comprehensive feasibility report on the steel factory.
However, there was no response from the state government till now, he insisted.
Bayyaram Steel Factory won’t come in KCR regime as BRS wants Commissions in everything.
From 2019 till date, Union Steel Ministry wrote 6 letters urging the Telangana govt to finalise land, so DPR can be prepared. There has been NO response from TS.

Refuting KCR’s allegations that the Centre was not allotting funds for Telangana, Bandi Sanjay challenged the chief minister to a debate on the issue.
On the matter of the installation of meters for agricultural pump sets, Bandi Sanjay said that the state government wrote a letter to the Centre asking it to sanction loans if it permitted officials to instal meters for the pump sets.
BRS Govt wants to keep Metres to Agriculture Motors❗️
Didn’t the Telangana govt write to Union Govt agreeing to set up Meters to Motors & sought loan❓
Does BRS have guts to take up this challenge❓ pic.twitter.com/Lx1CIvQLUi

“We will prove that the state government wrote a letter to the Centre on the issue,” he said, adding that it has become a habit for KCR to raise the meter issue whenever an election schedule was announced in the state.
