Telangana registered 63.94 percent voting till 5 pm today, Thursday, 30 November.
Till 7 pm, the highest voter turnout was recorded in the Medak district with 80.28 percent and the lowest in the Hyderabad district at 40.88 percent.
While the Jangaon constituency registered the highest turnout among the 119 Assembly constituencies with 83.34 percent, the Yakutpura constituency recorded the lowest of 27.87 percent.
Polling began at 7 am across 119 Assembly constituencies. With over three crore voters deciding the fate of 2,290 candidates in the fray.
The polling will end at 5 pm in 106 constituencies. However, in 13 constituencies affected by the presence of Maoists, polling will conclude an hour earlier, at 4 pm.
The results will be declared on 3 December.
The high-flying campaign ended on the evening of 28 November which saw a blitz by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, among others.
The ruling BRS is contesting all the seats. The Congress is fighting from 118, having left one for ally, CPI. The BJP has fielded candidates in 111 constituencies, with its ally, the Jana Sena Party, in 11.

In a tragic incident at Isnapur polling station No 248 in Patancheru Mandal of Sangareddy district, a member of the polling staff named Sudhakar collapsed due to chest pain while on duty.
Despite being rushed to Patancheru government hospital, doctors pronounced him dead. The body has been handed over to the family.

Voters queued outside polling stations right from morning. The focus remained on the polling stations in Banjara Hills and Jubilee Hills in the early hours with cinema stars, top politicians and administrative officers coming in to vote.
There were sporadic complaints of lack of parking facilities outside the booths. However, some people also complained about not finding their names on the voters list even though they possessed Voter ID cards.
In some areas, like in Booth number 244 in the Jangaon constituency, tension prevailed when workers of the principal parties came to blows. Police prevented any escalation.
In Hyderabad’s Gosamahal Constituency, at Booth No 25 near Ajanta Gate, voters have been waiting for over half an hour to cast their votes. However, officials state that the EVM has a technical glitch, and it might take half an hour to restore.
Voters demanded the installation of additional EVMs but the request was reportedly denied. Angry voters returned to their houses without casting their votes.
Reports from rural Telangana suggest enthusiastic turnouts in the constituencies. The most cheerful were the first-time voters who came out cheerful after voting for the first in their lives. Old and informed voters overcame their physical problems to come out and vote.
Rohith K, a first-year BTech student at Keshav Memorial Institute of Technology shares, “I feel very happy after my first vote cast. There is another room for the disabled which I feel is a necessity but as a young voter I suggest it would be good if awareness is created on how can we get a message regarding the polling station and serial number from the ECI website”
