The chiefs of all the three major political parties in Telangana cast their votes.
On Thursday, 30 November — the people of Telangana cast ballots to decide whether BRS supremo and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao gets a third term in office — a record no other South Indian politician has achieved. Or whether the Congress party’s decade-long wait for political redemption will end.
Till 11.45 PM on Thursday, the Election Commission of India (ECI) was still compiling data and a final tally of turnout is awaited. As of 11.45 PM on Thursday, the voter turnout for Telangana Assembly elections 2023 stood at 70.61 percent.
