BJP national vice-president DK Aruna alleged in Hyderabad on Saturday, 7 October, that Telangana Municipal Administration Minister KT Rama Rao and his brother-in-law and Finance Minister T Harish Rao were competing with each other to become the chief minister of Telangana.

In the process, they were neglecting the health condition of incumbent Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, she added.

BRS chief KCR is the father of KT Rama Rao, also known as KTR, and Harish Rao’s maternal uncle.

Corruption allegation

Aruna told reporters in Hyderabad that KTR seemed to be keen to become the next chief minister. However, it was his responsibility to take care of his father as well.

After falling sick, KCR has been in his farmhouse, but no one is taking care of him, she alleged.

Both Rama Rao and Harish Rao were in a hurry and strategising in view of the forthcoming Assembly elections, promising 2BHK flats, BC Bandhu, and other false promises, said the BJP leader.

The BRS leaders were collecting 30 percent of the total Dalit Bandhu funds disbursed to the beneficiaries, she alleged.

Aruna also cautioned the people of Telangana not to believe in the election gimmicks and false promises being made by KTR and Harish Rao.

Chikoti Praveen joins BJP

Meanwhile, the Telangana BJP leadership welcomed casino organiser Chikkoti Praveen into the party on Saturday.

He joined the party in the presence of Aruna and other senior leaders at the state BJP headquarters in the Nampally area of Hyderabad.

A few weeks ago, Praveen took out a huge rally from his house to the BJP office to join the party in the presence of Kishan Reddy. However, he left the office as Kishan Reddy did not arrive there.

After much-dilly-dallying, Praveen joined the BJP after getting a green signal from the party.
