Hyderabad horror: 21-year-old woman gang-raped in Bandlaguda godown

The incident

The survivor arrived at the Mahatma Gandhi Bus Station (MGBS) in Hyderabad around 10.40 pm on Saturday after boarding a bus from her home in Suryapet.

The cops added that the survivor was allegedly approached by two individuals on a bike shortly after disembarking from the bus.

After the survivor told them that she was heading to a police station, the accused insisted that she join them on their motorcycle.

The survivor said that she would go in an auto-rickshaw, but the accused coerced her to sit on the bike under the pretext of going to the police station.

During the journey, the accused also bought the victim an ice cream to create a false sense of normalcy.

However, the situation took a dark turn when they took her to a godown where they physically as well as sexually assaulted her, said the police.

Managing to escape, the victim raised an alarm to draw the attention of passers-by. Meanwhile, the attackers fled the scene upon realising they were being observed.

The survivor, in a state of distress, was assisted by personnel from the Bandlaguda Police Station, who brought her to the station around 1.30 am.
