The Hyderabad Cyber Crimes police have arrested BRS leader Manne Krishank over allegations concerning the assets of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s daughter, Nymisha Reddy.

Krishank was taken to Gandhi Hospital in Secunderabad for medical tests and then to the Secunderabad Court. Former minister and MLA Padma Rao Goud, BRS general secretary RS Praveen Kumar, and several local BRS leaders reached the court premises.

At court, Krishank was seen wearing a T-shirt printed with the names of Medicover, Maxbien and MindVault, the companies BRS alleges are linked to the Chief Minister’s family.

In a statement shared by the party after his arrest, Krishank said the government picked him up because it had no answers to the questions he raised.

“Perhaps this is the first time someone has been arrested for holding a press conference at Telangana Bhavan,” Krishank said.

He reiterated that he had presented documents showing that individuals serving as directors in Medicover and Maxbien were also directors in the schools being set up by the Chief Minister’s daughter. He also asked how land valued at Rs 200 crore had been allotted to Tesseract, a company owned by the Chief Minister’s brother, Kondal Reddy.

Krishank claimed that no member of the Chief Minister’s family had responded to these questions in the three days since the press conference.

“They have arrested me because they lack the courage to reply,” he said.

FIR registered on Monday

The FIR was registered on Monday, October 5, on a complaint from Mettu Sai Kumar, chairman of the TPCC Fisherman Congress Committee.

The FIR invokes Sections 353(2) and 352 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), which deal with statements promoting enmity or ill will between groups and intentional insult likely to provoke a breach of peace.

Sai Kumar, in his complaint, said Krishank and other BRS leaders had circulated claims about Nymisha’s properties and pharma companies. He cited an Instagram reel and sought an impartial inquiry, with legal action if the claims turned out to be false, defamatory or unsupported by evidence.

BRS allegations against CM and family

Over the past few weeks, the BRS has made several allegations against the Chief Minister and his family’s business dealings and estimated that they had amassed over Rs 50,000 crore in assets.

At a press conference held last week, Krishank alleged that Nymisha Reddy had obtained permissions for launching a private international school in Kompally. He also alleged that the family had investments in Medicover hospitals and Maxbien Pharma. He called for an independent investigation by the Enforcement Directorate into the businesses, investments and assets held by the CM’s family.
