Mahi V Raghav denies rumours that he got benefited from the YS Jagan government for for making Yatra 2

After a section of the media accused him of getting benefitted with two acres of land at Horsley Hills in Madanapalle by the Andhra Pradesh government for making Yatra 2, filmmaker Mahi V Raghav clarified the allegations.

The director said he would have rather asked for a place to build a studio in Hyderabad or Visakhapatnam. “Why would I want to build a studio at Madanapalle, which is a backward area,” he questioned.

“I am quite familiar as a producer and director in the film industry. I have made films like Villagelo Vinayakudu, Kudirithe Kappu Coffee, Paathshala, Anando Brahma, Yatra, and Yatra 2. I have also made the web series Save the Tigers and Shaitan. I was born and brought up in Madanapalle, which is a part of the Rayalaseema Region. I have also completed my studies in my hometown. But Rayalaseema Region doesn’t have much importance in the film industry,” the filmmaker pointed out.

Mahi V Raghav has been a screenwriter, producer, and director in the Telugu film industry for 16 years.

He set up film production companies called Moon Water Pictures (in 2008) and Three Autumn Leaves Production.

He debuted in Tollwood as a producer in 2009 with Villagelo Vinayakudu, a sequel to the 2008 hit flick Vinayakudu. Both films featured Krishnudu in the lead role.
