Day 1 collections of Mammotty-Jiiva’s ‘Yatra 2’

Director Mahi V Raghav released his film Yatra 2 on Thursday, 8 February; exactly 5 years after the release of the prequel Yatra.

Like its predecessor, the sequel is based on the theme of Padayatra in the life of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister late YS Rajasekhara Reddy.

The film received mixed reviews on its first day.

However, it garnered good openings at the box office.

Nizam: ₹0.20 crore
Ceeded: ₹0.30 crore
Andhra (Total): ₹0.15 crore
AP + Telangana: ₹0.65 crore
Rest of India: ₹0.15 crore
Overseas collections: ₹0.18 crore
Worldwide collections (Total): ₹0.98 crore

Yatra 2 entered the fray with a break-even target of ₹8 crore. On the first day, the film earned a share of ₹0.98 crore.

Fairly decent openings following a mixed talk.

Malayalam Superstar Mammootty played the late YS Rajasekhara Reddy in the film. Tamil actor Jiiva nailed the role of AP CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Ketaki Narayan played YS Bharathi, Jagan’s wife.

Suzanne Bernert essayed the role of Congress Chief Sonia Gandhi. Mahesh Manjrekar played TDP Chief N Chandrababu Naidu.
