Siddhu's 'Tillu Square' is bracing up for a fresh start after shaking the Telugu box office by raking in over ₹90 crore in the first week.

Just as a cricket test match has two innings, successful movies released each Friday are now thinking to capitalise the space they get next Friday.
Right now, Siddhu Jonnalagadda’s Tillu Square is bracing up for a fresh start after shaking the Telugu box office by raking in over ₹90 crore in the first week. The Telugu movie witnessed a slight dip on Wednesday and Thursday.
Meanwhile, the makers of The Family Star hoped to enjoy huge success. But to the contrary, the Vijay Deverakonda-starrer doesn’t seem to have lived up to the expectation.
Following this, the Tillu Square team became alert as the outcome of The Family Star is likely to fetch good luck for Siddhu.
It may be noted here that while the main screens remain unaffected, the extra theatres assigned to the Vijay-starrer are gradually backing off.
Fans of Tillu Square are optimistic that the situation could turn around for Siddhu from Monday, 8 April.
As the final stretch is two weeks away, there is speculation that the movie could gross around ₹150 crore.
Interestingly, Jr NTR is attending the success event of the film as a guest on 8 April.
Next Friday, Geetanjali Malli Vachindi and a couple of films like Love Guru will hit the theatres. But there isn’t much buzz at the box office about them. However, if the reviews are positive, things could change.
Meanwhile, Tillu Square remains the top entertainment choice for audiences.
It seems that The Family Star missed out on a great opportunity. Had it been a hit, the situation today would have been different.
There’s even a shortage of tickets for Tillu Square. While The Family Star has an average of 4,000 bookings on BookMyShow, Tillu Square is selling ₹1,200 more tickets than that sold on its eighth day of release.
